Digit-Heal meeting with AI4Health.Cro
Members of the Digit-HeaL team met with representatives of the AI4Health.Cro team and the Knowledge Network at the Ruđer Bošković Institute. Dr Anja Barešić presented their European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) project AI4Health.Cro and their consortium consisting of stakeholders from the economic, public, medical and academic sectors involved in the development of digital solutions in health and medicine, with a special focus on artificial intelligence. KU Leuven Summer School
Digit-HeaL research lab leader Anto Čartolovni attended the KU Leuven Summer School Law, Ethics and Policy of AI, from June 28 to July 3. Participants were introduced to the latest insights into artificial intelligence from different perspectives. A range of topics provided a better understanding of the legal, ethical, and political implications of developing and using artificial intelligence in society. Lectures were delivered by renowned academics, policy-makers from EU and international institutions, and practitioners, allowing participants to grasp practical implications of the use of AI in these fields.

Oslo Summer School 2021
Members of the Digit-HeaL team, Ana Tomičić and Anamaria Malešević participated in the Summer school of the University of Oslo from June 28 to July 2. The theme of the Summer school was Controversy mapping and computational anthropology: digital methods between the qualitative-quantitative divide. Participants, including members of our team, had the opportunity to get acquainted with this research method, try out helpful tools, and apply what they have learned for their research projects. The workshop, which this year exceptionally took place online, was led by Aalborg University professor Anders Kristian Munk.

Head of the Digit-HeaL awarded for his contribution to the development of science and teaching
On 11 June 2021, the Catholic University of Croatia celebrated University day and the 15th anniversary of its founding. On that occasion, recognitions and awards were presented to individuals who stood out in the previous year.
