On Wednesday, 5 April 2023, a round table on “Climate, energy and mobility” was held at the Catholic University of Croatia in cooperation with partners from the Liszt Institute – Hungarian Cultural Center Zagreb.

The welcome address on behalf of the Catholic University of Croatia was given by prof. Ph. D. Roberto Antolović, vice-rector for science, who pointed out that this topic is close and important to everyone, but that it needs to be discussed more. “Our University has had numerous conferences and projects related to this topic, especially because of the encyclical of Pope Francis Laudato si, which was the basis of the great project Crolaudatosi ahead of 2020 and the fifth anniversary of the publication of the encyclical Laudato si. This topic is especially relevant nowadays because we have reason to be concerned about the sustainability of our planet, and we need to better understand the Green Transition plan in order to implement it faster for the benefit of our future generations,” concluded Antolović.

The round table was attended by Litkei Máté, director of the prestigious MCC Institute for Climate Policy, Šimun Lončarević, researcher from the Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar and Ph. D. Jakov Žižić from the Department of Communication studies at the Catholic University of Croatia. The round table was moderated by Leali Osmančević, PhD, from the Department of Communication studies.
