Young researcher PhD candidates in the social sciences and humanities presented their work at the 29th edition of the PhD Cafe on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, hosted by the Croatian Science Foundation. The doctoral candidates from the Digital healthcare ethics laboratory (Digit-HeaL), Anamaria Malešević and Luka Poslon, at the Catholic University of Croatia, among other collegues, presented the findings from their doctoral thesis. Doctoral candidates discussed the topics and difficulties they encountered during their PhD research work. Attendees at Booksa got the chance to learn about digital health in Croatia as well about the ethical and epistemic challenges of explainable AI in healthcare. These gatherings allow PhD students funded by the Croatian Science Foundation to meet with their colleagues and exchange experiences.

We thank the Croatian Science Foundation for the invitation and chance to present our PhD candidates research.
