At the invitation of the Institute for European Studies from Belgrade, two presentations of the collection of works “Democratic Christianity: sources, achievements and perspectives” were held in Serbia, published by Glas Koncila and the Catholic University of Croatia. The first presentation was held on 9 March 2023 at the University Library in Kragujevac, and the second on 10 March 2023 at the Institute for European Studies in Belgrade. The collection of papers was presented by Miša Đurković, Ph.D., director of the Institute for European Studies, Ph.D. Jakov Žižić from the Catholic University of Croatia (one of the editors of the proceedings) and prof. Ph. D. Tihomir Cipek from the Faculty of Political Sciences in Zagreb. The topics covered in the collection have attracted significant attention from scientists in Serbia. In the discussions that followed the presentation, the presence of Christian Democratic actors and ideas in Croatia and Serbia, the social teachings of the Catholic Church and the Orthodox Churches, the positions of Christian Democratic parties on social and economic issues, and the role of Christian Democracy in the relations between Croatia and Serbia, that is, the Croatian and Serbian people, were discussed. Tomislav Žigmanov, minister in the Government of Serbia and president of the Democratic Union of Croats in Vojvodina, also participated in the presentation of the proceedings in Belgrade.
