Assistant Luka Poslon from the Digit-HeaL laboratory has embarked on an exciting journey as part of the mobility program in Stuttgart, facilitated by the Croatian Science Foundation. Poslon’s project proposal, focusing on the challenges of explainability in artificial intelligence (AI) within the healthcare domain paving the way for a unique opportunity at the High Performance Computing Center, Stuttgart of the University of Stuttgart (HLRS).

The workshop held at HLRS marks an important shift point in Poslon’s research efforts related to the epistemic and ethical justifications of xAI in healthcare. Working with renowned scientists like Michael Herrmann, Nico Formanek, and Andreas Kaminski will assist Poslon in exploring the particulars of AI explainability, including its applications and ramifications in the field of healthcare. This cooperative endeavor highlights the multidisciplinary character of contemporary research, wherein knowledge from high-performance computing, healthcare, and computer science converges to address urgent concerns.

We express our gratitude toward the Croatian Science Foundation and HLRS for their continuous support in making this significant event possible.
