Božićna čestitka rektora Tanjića

Bog, izvor i obnovitelj života, po svome Sinu Isusu Kristu postao je čovjekom, djetetom, i objavio nam istinu o naravi ljudske egzistencije: »biti kao dijete« (usp. Mt 18, 3). U svjetlu otajstva Utjelovljenja čovjek otkriva svoju »sinovsku egzistenciju« – trajnu usmjerenost na Boga, na čežnju za životom u Bogu. Doista, čovjek je potpuno čovjek tek kada živi dar božanskoga života. 

Život vjere je život nošen čežnjom za Bogom. Ljudska je čežnja oplemenjena milosnim susretom božanskoga i ljudskoga u Isusu Kristu, i rasvijetljena nadom u puninu zajedništva s Bogom Ocem. Stoga, unatoč ljudskoj nesavršenosti i prolaznosti, unatoč nesigurnostima i neizvjesnostima koje susrećemo, možemo, po daru čežnje za božanskim, pronaći radost koja daje ljepotu življenja. 

Upućujemo svoju poniznu molitvu Kristu, Svjetlu istinskom, da Vas čežnja za puninom života vodi i rasvjetljuje u vašim životnim nastojanjima i brigama.

U ime cijele akademske zajednice Hrvatskoga katoličkog sveučilišta želim Vam sretan Božić i blagoslovljenu 2026. godinu.

God, the source and restorer of life, through His Son Jesus Christ became man, a child, and revealed to us the truth about the nature of human existence: "to be like a child" (cf. Mt 18:3). In the light of the mystery of the Incarnation, man discovers his "filial existence" – a permanent orientation towards God, to the longing for life in God. Indeed, man is fully human only when he lives the gift of divine life.

The life of faith is a life carried by the longing for God. Human longing is ennobled by the gracious encounter of the divine and the human in Jesus Christ, and illuminated by the hope of full communion with God the Father. Therefore, despite human imperfection and transience, despite the insecurities and uncertainties that we encounter, we can, through the gift of longing for the divine, find the joy that gives the beauty of life.

We address our humble prayer to Christ, the true Light, that the longing for the fullness of life may guide and illuminate you in your life's endeavours and concerns.

Dio, fonte e restauratore della vita, per mezzo del suo Figlio Gesù Cristo si è fatto uomo, bambino, e ci ha rivelato la verità sulla natura dell'esistenza umana: «essere come un bambino» (cfr. Mt 18,3). Alla luce del mistero dell'Incarnazione, l'uomo scopre la sua "esistenza filiale" - un orientamento permanente verso Dio, al desiderio di vita in Dio. Infatti, l'uomo è pienamente umano solo quando vive il dono della vita divina.

La vita di fede è una vita sostenuta dal desiderio di Dio. Il desiderio umano è nobilitato dall'incontro misericordioso del divino e dell'umano in Gesù Cristo, e illuminato dalla speranza della piena comunione con Dio Padre. Pertanto, nonostante l'imperfezione e la transitorietà umana, malgrado le insicurezze e le incertezze che incontriamo, possiamo, attraverso il dono del desiderio del divino, trovare la gioia che dona la bellezza della vita.

Rivolgiamo la nostra umile preghiera a Cristo, la vera Luce, affinché il desiderio della pienezza della vita vi guidi e vi illumini negli sforzi e nelle preoccupazioni della vostra vita.
