Assistant Professor Martina Vuk Grgić Delivers Lecture at the Pontifical University in Santiago de Chile
As part of the Week Celebrating Croatians Living Abroad, and just two days after the publication of Pope Leo XIV’s first encyclical, Assistant Professor Martina Vuk Grgić, PhD, was invited to deliver a lecture at the Faculty of Theology of the Pontifical University in Santiago de Chile.
On this occasion, she presented the results of her long-term research project, Reimagining Friendship and Disability, which explores theological perspectives on friendship in the context of disability. The lecture was delivered in English with simultaneous translation into Spanish, with the aim of fostering and strengthening theological dialogue on disability.
In addition to university students and alumni, the academic event was attended by members of the Croatian communities in Chile and Argentina, further contributing to the connection between the Croatian diaspora and academic and ecclesiastical institutions in South America.
