Dean Turkalj attends 50th anniversary celebration of the Faculty of Law in Rijeka

The Dean of the Faculty of Law at the Catholic University of Croatia, Associate Professor Kristian Turkalj, PhD, attended the celebration marking the 50th anniversary of the Faculty of Law at the University of Rijeka on Friday, September 25, 2026.

The Faculty of Law in Rijeka marked half a century of its work with a ceremonial session of the Faculty Council, bringing together representatives of the academic community, judicial institutions, and national, regional, and local authorities. The Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Rijeka, Professor Dario Đerđa, PhD, reflected on the Faculty’s 50 years of activity, its development, and its contribution to educating generations of legal professionals and advancing legal scholarship.

Among those attending the ceremony were Minister of Science, Education and Youth Professor Radovan Fuchs, PhD, Minister of Justice, Public Administration and Digital Transformation Damir Habijan, President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia Professor Frane Staničić, PhD, and Rector of the University of Rijeka Professor Goran Hauser, PhD.

Through Dean Turkalj’s participation in the celebration of this significant anniversary, the Catholic University of Croatia joined the academic community in congratulating the Faculty of Law in Rijeka on 50 years of its work.
