CUC at EduFest in the National and University Library in Zagreb

This year’s EduFest – the Festival of Studying and Student Life – features 40 exhibitors representing higher education institutions from Croatia and abroad. They will provide secondary school pupils, students, their parents and teachers with useful information on how to find the best study programme and secure scholarships — and our University is among them!

EduFest’s rich accompanying programme places special emphasis on professional study programmes, how they prepare students for the labour market, what students do outside their studies, and why one should pursue higher education in the first place. For the first time, EduFest will also host the Review of Croatian Polytechnics. EduFest will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, 25 November 2025, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the lobby of the National and University Library (NSK) in Zagreb, at 4 Hrvatske bratske zajednice Street. More information is available at the link provided. The organiser of EduFest is the Institute for the Development of Education (IRO), and admission is open and free of charge.

An engaging programme at this year’s EduFest

Young people facing important decisions about further education or career development will have the opportunity to receive guidance from successful and inspiring young individuals as well as renowned experts. Students from the Fausto Vrančić Mechanical Engineering School in Zagreb, mentored by members of the Debate Club of the Faculty of Economics and Business, will take part in the lively debate “What is the right path: study or labour market?”, discussing whether vocational secondary school graduates should continue their education and what options they have for enrolling in higher education.

The Catholic University of Croatia is organising the panel “From Idea to Application: What It Means to Study Computing in 2030.” EducationUSA is offering an attractive presentation “Five Steps to Studying in the USA,” providing information on admission to American universities as well as exam preparation. The Institute for the Development of Education will present its career guidance and counselling services for students, along with numerous opportunities for learning foreign languages abroad.

A diverse range of exhibitors from around the world

In the exhibition area of the festival, 20 higher education institutions from Croatia and abroad, embassies and successful companies supporting students and higher education will present their programmes. Visitors will be able to explore opportunities for continuing their education in various destinations such as the USA, Austria, Slovenia, China and more, as well as learn about what Croatian institutions have to offer. Exhibitors will also present opportunities for internships abroad, student mobility through Erasmus, and various forms of financial support for students.

Supported by key Croatian institutions

For 21 years, the IRO has organised EduFest with the aim of increasing awareness of opportunities in higher education, scholarships and student mobility. Once again, the event is supported by the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth, the Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes, the Ministry of Defence, Kaufland Croatia, and the long-standing partner and host of this year’s EduFest, the National and University Library in Zagreb.
