Assoc. Prof. Sandra Nakić Radoš Publishes Paper in the British Journal of Psychiatry
Assoc. Prof. Sandra Nakić Radoš, PhD, Univ. Spec. Clin. Psych., faculty member at the University Department of Psychology, has published a scientific paper as first author in one of the leading journals in the field of psychiatry – the British Journal of Psychiatry (Q1, Impact Factor 7.6; ranked 11th out of 288 journals in psychiatry).

The article, titled “Evidence-based clinical practice guidelines for prevention, screening and treatment of peripartum depression”, is the result of the COST Action “Research Innovation and Sustainable Pan-European Network in Peripartum Depression Disorder” (Riseup-PPD, 2019–2023), where Nakić Radoš served as Vice-Chair of the Action. The initiative brought together 180 members, and she co-led a group of 14 experts in developing these clinical guidelines for peripartum depression.
The development of the evidence-based guidelines involved a rigorous and methodologically demanding process, including the implementation of multiple systematic reviews, consensus-based decision-making, and public review. The working group was composed of experts from various fields, including psychology, psychiatry, obstetrics and gynecology, pharmacology, social work, ethics, and information science, as well as patient representatives. The group dedicated 2.5 years of intensive work to this task.
The complete guidelines were previously presented and promoted at the European Parliament in November 2023, and a summary of the guidelines in the form of this scientific article has now been published and is available for reading here.
