Associate Professor Filip Galović appointed Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Čakavska rič
The Croatian scientific journal Čakavska rič - the only specialized dialectological journal dedicated to the study of the Chakavian dialect - has been published since 1971 by the Literary Circle in Split. The latest, 53rd issue of the journal has brought several changes.
Our Associate Professor Filip Galović, PhD, has been a member of the journal's editorial board for around a decade, alongside distinguished Croatian and international philologists. He was recently unanimously elected Deputy Editor-in-Chief to Professor Marijana Tomelić Ćurlin, PhD, a Croatian philologist from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Split. The editorial board has also been renewed and expanded and now consists of Joško Božanić (Komiža), Előd Dudás (Budapest), Filip Galović (Zagreb), Janneke Kalsbeek (Amsterdam), Josip Lisac (Zadar), Ljudmila Mindova (Sofia), Tijmen Pronk (Leiden), Marijana Tomelić Ćurlin (Split), Marina Marasović Alujević (Split), and Sanja Vulić (Zagreb).
It is also worth highlighting that, according to the new criteria of the National Council for Higher Education, Science and Technological Development, papers published in the journal have been classified as A1a papers, placing Čakavska rič among the leading scientific journals in the Republic of Croatia.
We warmly congratulate Professor Galović on his appointment and wish the journal many more successful years dedicated to the study, documentation, and preservation of Croatia's linguistic heritage.
