Acting Dean Matić at the 24th Conference of Nurses and Medical Technicians

Assist. Prof. Dr. Ivica Matić, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the Catholic University of Croatia, participated in the 24th Conference of Nurses and Medical Technicians – Horizons of Nursing: Education, Practice, Excellence, held on 23 and 24 October 2025 in Opatija, organized by the University of Applied Health Sciences in Zagreb.

As part of the conference, Assist. Prof. Dr. Matić took part as a panelist in the round table “Education of Nurses”, moderated by Ana Marija Švigir, alongside Sandra Bošković, Biserka Sedić, Tamara Štemberger Kolnik, and Tanja Lupieri. The discussion focused on current challenges and perspectives in higher education for nurses, the development of competencies, and the importance of continuous professional development.

In addition, together with colleagues Martina Smrekar, Ana Marija Švigir, Boris Ilić, and Snježana Čukljek, he co-authored the scientific paper “Development and Application of the Croatian Version of the Scale for Assessing Satisfaction with Simulation-Based Learning (SSE Scale) in Nursing Education,” which was presented in the professional section of the conference.
