Associate Professor Matijašević appeared on the Third Programme of Croatian Radio

Associate Professor Bruno Matijašević from the University Department of Sociology at the Catholic University of Croatia appeared on the Croatian Radio Third Programme show “Cosmos and Ethos: Horizons of the World, Science and Society.” The topic of the show was video games in the leisure time of children and young people. The appearance was prompted by a discussion of the scientific article “Video Games in the Leisure Time of Children and Young People,” published in the journal Diacovensia at the beginning of 2026.

Associate Professor Matijašević highlighted the increased prevalence of virtual leisure time among children and young people, especially after COVID-19. He emphasized the importance of stronger involvement of schools and families in understanding contemporary patterns and the potential of leisure time in the context of education, affirmation, and the prevention of behavioral disorders resulting from increased time spent in the virtual world.

The program was broadcast on March 19 and is also available for listening in the Listening Room HERE.
