Marking the National Palliative Care Day

On the occasion of the 3rd National Palliative Care Day, a professional course titled “Principles of Treating Cancer Pain in Palliative Care Patients” was held at KBC Sestre milosrdnice. The course was intended for healthcare professionals involved in palliative care, with the aim of expanding and improving knowledge in pain management and palliative treatment.

Assist. Prof. Lidija Fumić Dunkić, PhD, from the School of Medicine, served as the course leader and actively participated in lectures and workshops, with a particular emphasis on an individualised and holistic approach to patient care.

Special attention was given to contemporary methods of managing cancer-related pain, including the use of elastomeric morphine pumps in home care settings.
