Historic First Game for the Catholic University of Croatia Men’s Basketball Team

The men’s basketball team of the Catholic University of Croatia played its first-ever game in the UniSport ZG League last weekend (25–26 October 2025). With this debut, the University has joined the community of university basketball teams that promote fellowship, sportsmanship, and competitive spirit among students – alongside its already active futsal and volleyball teams.

In this historic first match, our students faced the team from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry and, despite a spirited performance, recorded a loss. Nevertheless, with great energy, teamwork, and enthusiasm, we believe the first victory is just around the corner.

All students and staff who wish to join the team, play a few games, and represent the University in the basketball league can still sign up – at practices on Tuesdays and/or weekend games.
