Members of the BrAIn Project Research Group Participated in the 32nd Annual Conference of Croatian Psychologists
Members of the Catholic University of Croatia (CUC) research group on the BrAIn project, Assoc. Prof. Marina Merkaš, PhD, and Ana Žulec Ivanković, PhD, participated in the 32nd Annual Conference of Croatian Psychologists, held in Split from 5 to 8 November. At the conference, they presented selected activities of the CUC research team and the results of studies conducted within the BrAIn project. The presentations reflected the joint work of the CUC research team and CARNET project partners.
Assoc. Prof. Marina Merkaš presented the paper “Parental Practices and Perceptions of Children’s Exposure to Risks in the Digital Environment” as part of the symposium “Parenting in the 21st Century – Risks, Regrets, and Support.” In her presentation, she discussed various strategies parents use to protect children from digital risks and to manage children’s use of digital technologies, based on findings from research conducted within the BrAIn project.

Dr. Ana Žulec Ivanković contributed with the presentation “The Relationship Between the Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools and Selected Indicators of Well-being Among Primary and Secondary School Students in Croatia.” Her talk presented selected results concerning students’ use of artificial intelligence and their well-being, obtained through the project’s research activities.kviru istraživanja projekta.

In their joint poster presentation, “Exposure to Digital Risks and Patterns of Communication About Online Harassment Among Children and Youth,” they described children’s and young people’s exposure to various digital risks and presented a segment of the project’s research findings.
Assoc. Prof. Merkaš also presented the paper “The Use of Artificial Intelligence in Education: From Research to Recommendations in the BrAIn Project,” which outlined the process of developing recommendations for the use of digital technologies and for enhancing student well-being among all stakeholders in the education system, based on research conducted within the BrAIn project.
