Roman Šubić

As of 2025, he has been an associate professor, and before that, since 2017, an assistant professor at the University Department of Sociology, where he teaches several courses related to his area of specialization. He graduated in 2003, and then received his master's degree in 2009 from the postgraduate scientific study of Finance and Banking at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zagreb, while he obtained his PhD in 2012 from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Osijek.

In parallel to his position at the Catholic University of Croatia, he is currently employed as a Chief Advisor in the Office of the Governor, after serving as Vice Governor of the Croatian National Bank for the previous six years (2018-2024). Prior to that, he gained his professional experience as an advisor supervisor and team leader of on-site inspections of credit institutions in Croatia, and as a supervisor he participated in on-site inspections in large international banks as well as in small domestic banks, savings banks, housing savings banks, cooperatives and credit unions. He also received additional professional training in renowned global financial institutions. During his professional career, he has attended numerous educational programs and training sessions at distinguished international financial institutions.
