Nikolina Vukšić
She is an Assistant at the Department of Psychology at the Catholic University of Croatia (Zagreb), with a research focus on peripartum depression, funded by the Croatian Science Foundation. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Zagreb (2021) and a Research Master’s degree at the University of Amsterdam (2023), with a thesis on real-life habit formation.
She received scholarships for excellence throughout her high school and undergraduate studies. At the University of Amsterdam, she worked as a research assistant on several research projects, and as a teaching assistant on an advanced statistics course. After graduating, she joined the Netherlands Cancer Institute, where she investigated quality of life and post-traumatic growth among cancer survivors. She has collaborated with scientists from Croatia, the Netherlands, and the USA on nine research projects. Currently, she is undergoing training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and is committed to continuous education in psychotherapy.
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Peripartum and reproductive mental health, especially peripartum depression, breastfeeding and maternal mental health, development and validation of questionnaires, music neuroscience, health psychology
