Mario Bara
Associate Professor at the Department of Sociology, Catholic University of Croatia in Zagreb. He obtained his undergraduate and doctoral degrees from the University of Zagreb, where he defended his dissertation in 2014 titled Retirement Migration on Croatian Islands: Integration of Migrants into Local Communities. Before joining the Catholic University of Croatia, he was employed at the Institute for Migration and Ethnic Studies in Zagreb from 2008 to the end of 2014.
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
His scholarly interests focus on the sociology of migration, the sociology of ethnic relations, and the historical and contemporary aspects of native (historical) communities of the Croatian national minority in European countries
