Luka Poslon

Luka Poslon is a member of the Digit-HeaL laboratory research group and a teaching assistant at the Croatian Catholic University in Zagreb, employed with the support of the Croatian Science Foundation through the "Young Research Career Development Project – Training of New Doctors of Science" (DOK-2021-02-9366). He graduated in Philosophy from the Faculty of Philosophy and Religious Studies, University of Zagreb in 2021. He is a deputy member of the Youth Council of the Government of the Republic of Croatia.

He has participated in numerous international conferences and projects, including a study visit in Stuttgart, Germany. His research focuses on the ethical and epistemological challenges of applying AI in healthcare, with a special emphasis on explainable artificial intelligence (xAI). He analyzes how xAI can aid in understanding decisions made by AI systems, which is crucial for building trust between doctors, patients, and technology. 
 

RESEARCH INTERESTS:

His scientific research interests encompass contemporary challenges in bioethics, the philosophy of technology, and the ethics of digital technologies, with a particular focus on the ethical and epistemological aspects of digital technologies and artificial intelligence. In his work, he explores the relationship between humans and artificial intelligence, especially in the context of healthcare, and analyzes how technologies such as explainable artificial intelligence (xAI) influence the relationship between patients and doctors, as well as decision-making in medicine.
