Filip Hren
Senior teaching assistant at the Department of History at the Catholic University of Croatia. He began his study at the Catholic University of Croatia and graduated at Faculty of Humanities at University of Zagreb in 2017 as a top 10% student of the class. He also got several different scholarships. In 2018 he was awarded with the Ferdo Šišić Award for the best master thesis. In 2023, he was awarded a Ph.D. from the Catholic University of Croatia for his dissertation "Croatian Soldiers During the Thirty Years' War (1618–1648)."
Before being employed as an assistant at the Catholic University of Croatia in 2021, he worked as a trainee at the Croatian Institute of History (Zagreb) and was also a collaborator and co-author of two exhibitions at the Croatian State Archives and the Ethnographic Museum in Zagreb. As part of the Erasmus+ program, he was a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, in 2024, and in 2025, he took part as a lecturer and mentor within a BIP at the European University of Rome. In addition, he is the president and co-founder of the Alumni Association of the CUC.
