Ante Crnčević

Full Professor at the University Chair of Theology. He graduated in Theology from the Catholic Faculty of Theology, University of Zagreb (1992) and earned his doctorate in Liturgical Studies at the Pontifical Institute Sant’Anselmo in Rome (1999).

From 2002 to 2024, he was employed at the Department of Liturgics at the Catholic Faculty of Theology, University of Zagreb, where he served as Head of Department (2007–2024) and Director of the Institute for Church Music (2017–2020; 2023–2024). He was also Head of the Croatian Institute for Liturgical Pastoral Care at the Croatian Bishops’ Conference and Editor-in-Chief of the liturgical-pastoral journal Živo vrelo (2004–2020).

Since 2024, he has been employed at the Catholic University of Croatia, where he serves as Vice-Rector for Quality, Identity, and Mission.

RESEARCH INTERESTS:

Liturgical theology; Christian initiation; Liturgical anthropology; Liturgical art.
