CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
for admission to the lifelong learning program Croatian Language for Foreigners

 

I.

Pursuant to Article 57, Paragraph 6 of the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette No. 119/2022) and the Decision of the University Senate on the adoption of the lifelong learning program "Croatian Language for Foreigners" (CLASS: 602-07/21-01/01, REG. NO.: 251-498-03-01-01-25-20) dated February 11, 2025, the Catholic University of Croatia (hereinafter: the University) shall commence the implementation of the program Croatian Language for Foreigners starting May 4, 2026.

 

II.

The lifelong learning program Croatian Language for Foreigners (hereinafter: the „Program“) is intended for applicants who have acquired a specific qualification by completing the 1st level of education in accordance with the Croatian Qualifications Framework Act (Official Gazette No. 22/13, 41/16, 64/18, 47/20, 20/21, hereinafter: the CROQF Act) and who choose to learn Croatian as a foreign language due to employment needs or long-term residence in the Republic of Croatia.

 

III.

Registration for the Program is conducted via the application available at the link: https://upisi.unicath.hr.

Upon registration, the applicant will receive login credentials via email to apply electronically by completing the required fields with basic personal data and uploading the necessary documentation.

The application deadline is from April 17 to April 29, 2026. Following the expiration of the deadline, applicants will be notified via email or the provided contact number regarding the enrollment date, as well as the start date and location of the Program.

 

IV.

The tuition fee (participation fee) for the Program, based on the University's Decision, amounts to 200.00 EUR, and the enrollment fee amounts to 50.00 EUR.

 

The enrollment fee and tuition fee are payable in full upon the applicant's enrollment in the Program. The tuition fee may be paid in full upon enrollment or in two (2) equal installments: the first part in the amount of EUR 100.00 upon enrollment, and the second part in the amount of EUR 100.00 no later than two (2) months from the date of enrollment in the Program.

V.

When applying for enrollment via the application, the applicant is required to:

  1. Complete the Application Form;
  2. Upload proof of citizenship, a copy of an identity card, or proof of temporary protection;
  3. Upload proof of completion of primary school.;
  4. Upload completed and signed Consent Form in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679), the Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (Official Gazette No. 42/2018), and the Regulations on the Processing and Protection of Personal Data of the Catholic University of Croatia.

Enrollment will be conducted digitally. Applicants will receive timely instructions regarding the enrollment procedure, date, and time.

  2. Proof of payment of the enrollment fee (payment to the University's IBAN: HR1123400091110353987; Reference number: applicant’s OIB; Descr.: First and Last Name / Enrollment fee for IEP 26) ;
  3. Proof of payment of the tuition fee (total or installment), payable to the University's IBAN: HR1123400091110353987; Reference number: applicant’s OIB; Descr.: First and Last Name / Tuition fee for IEP 26).
