Our students, professors, and chaplain take part in the charity initiative “Pancakes for a Scholarship”

The chaplain, professors, and students of the Catholic University of Croatia took part this Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2026, in Zagreb in the charity initiative “Pancakes for a Scholarship.”

The aim of the initiative was to raise funds for sixteen students from Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the event, nearly €6,000 was collected and will be awarded to students in the form of scholarships. These scholarships will help students cover the costs of studying and living in Zagreb, providing them with greater financial security and a more relaxed student experience.

The organizers - the Marija de Mattias Foundation (the foundation of the Adorers of the Blood of Christ) and the King Tomislav Association - offered visitors fresh pancakes, mulled wine, and hot coffee. The event was marked by a warm and friendly atmosphere, characterized by a strong sense of togetherness and a genuine desire to give.

This initiative shows how much unity, engagement, and a little goodwill can mean to others, and how little it takes to brighten someone’s student days. We thank everyone who participated and helped make this event a success.
