The Catholic University of Croatia presented to graduating students of the Catholic Classical Gymnasium in Virovitica

The University Department of History at the Catholic University of Croatia presented its study programs and opportunities for studying at the Catholic University of Croatia to graduating students of the Catholic Classical Gymnasium with public rights in Virovitica on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. The presentation was delivered by the Head of Department, Associate Professor Mario Kevo, PhD; Assistant Veronika Novoselac, MA in History and Communication; and graduate students Ema Magdić, a second-year student of the double major graduate program in History and Sociology, and Nikola Budor, a second-year student of the graduate program in History (teaching track).

Special emphasis was placed on the student experience, opportunities for academic and professional development, and active participation in extracurricular activities. In this context, the work of the History Students’ Club Homo volans, whose members took part in the presentation, was also introduced.

Additional value to the meeting was provided by Assistant Novoselac and student Magdić, both former pupils of the school, who shared their experiences of studying and working with the graduating students. During the meeting, students had the opportunity to learn more about study programs, admissions, and student life, as well as to ask questions directly.

At the beginning of the visit, the guests were welcomed by religion teacher Karlo Topalović, Baccalaureus in Sacra Theologia, and Martina Horvat, MA in Pedagogy and History Education. After the meeting, a discussion was also held with the principal, Marijana Novak Stanić, during which experiences were exchanged and possibilities for future cooperation were considered.
