Assistant Poslon at the Erasmus+ BIP in Spain
From 19 to 23 May 2026, in Spain, within the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) “Jesuit + Digital: International Symposium Jesuit Studies and Digital Humanities” at Loyola University, Luka Poslon participated. The programme focused on connecting Jesuit studies with digital humanities, artificial intelligence, and contemporary research methodologies, with a special emphasis on ethics, open science, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
During the programme, participants explored topics through lectures and workshops, including the digitization of archival materials, TEI and HTR methods, GIS and network analysis, as well as modelling historical and missionary networks of Jesuit activities. Particular emphasis was placed on ethical issues, including data sovereignty and the responsible use of digital tools in research.
The programme also included assistant Luka Poslon, PhD, from the Laboratory for Ethics of Digital Technologies in Healthcare at the Catholic University of Croatia, who took part in expert discussions and workshops on digital humanities methods and the ethical aspects of research.
The Erasmus+ BIP programme was held at Loyola University in Seville and Granada and enabled international networking, knowledge exchange, and the development of future collaborations, further strengthening the internationalization and academic visibility of the Catholic University of Croatia within the Erasmus+ framework.
