Erasmus+ Summer School “Faith in Context” concludes in Šibenik
The Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme Summer School “Faith in Context: Exploring Religion Across Publics, History, and Society,” organized by the Catholic University of Croatia, concluded on Sunday, September 6, 2026. The programme took place in Šibenik from August 30 to September 6 and, through lectures, student discussions, small-group work, and field activities, provided an opportunity to reflect on the role of religion in contemporary social, historical, and cultural contexts.
Throughout the week, students had the opportunity to engage with international lecturers, exchange experiences and perspectives with one another, and combine academic work with exploring Šibenik and its cultural and natural heritage. Among other activities, the programme included lectures and discussions at St. John’s Fortress, a tour of the city, and an optional visit to Krka National Park.
The Summer School concluded with a closing ceremony, bringing to an end a week of intensive learning, dialogue, and international cooperation. “Faith in Context” once again demonstrated the value of bringing together students and lecturers from different backgrounds, as well as the importance of open and interdisciplinary dialogue on religion and its place in contemporary society.
