Vice-Rector Ćurković Nimac Visits the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart (Sacro Cuore) in Milan
Within the framework of Erasmus+ mobility, the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Professor Jasna Ćurković Nimac, PhD, visited the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore) in Milan from 12 to 16 December. On this occasion, she met with the Rector of the University, Professor Elena Beccalli, PhD. Their discussion focused on opportunities for cooperation between the two universities, as well as on the organisation of the upcoming General Assembly of the Federation of Catholic Universities in Europe (FUCE), which will be held in Zagreb in May next year. Practical issues related to the organisation of this event were discussed with the FUCE Secretary General, Professor Paolo Gomarasca.
Possibilities for expanding inter-institutional agreements within the Erasmus+ programme—particularly in the field of communication studies—were discussed in meetings with Professor Edilio Mazzoleni, Director of the Centre for Global Engagement and International Education, Loretta Borganovo from the Centre, and Laura Ferrari from the International Student Service.
Potential cooperation within the English-taught study programme Communication Management was discussed with Professor Emanuela Mora, Head of the programme. The Vice-Rector also met with Professor Veronica Rinuolo and Professor Rita Bichi to discuss the status and activities of working groups within the International Federation of Catholic Universities (IFCU).
During her stay in Milan, the Vice-Rector also visited the Croatian Consulate, where she met with the Croatian Consul in Milan, Dr Stjepan Ribić. In their discussion, she became acquainted with the situation of the Croatian community in Milan and the wider region, including the Croatian student population.
