Prof. Ivan Majnarić, PhD, participated in the international scientific conference “XV Abrils de l’Hospital” in Naples
From April 8 to 11, 2026, the fifteenth edition of the prestigious international scientific conference Abrils de l’Hospital was held in Naples, this year dedicated to the theme: Hospitals and Confraternities in Europe (13th - 18th centuries).

Organized primarily by the University of Barcelona and the University of Naples Federico II, the conference brought together leading European researchers focused on the role of lay and religious confraternities in the development of social (and healthcare) systems in the medieval and early modern periods.

In this context, Prof. Ivan Majnarić from the University Department of History at the Catholic University of Croatia examined the social positioning of (popular) confraternities within the organization of Venetian administration in Zadar and Kotor during the first half of the 15th century.
