One-Year Bavarian Scholarships for Postgraduate Studies and Research Stays

Dear Students,

We would like to inform you about a new one-year scholarship programme sponsored by the Free State of Bavaria for students from Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe for the 2026/27 academic year.

For the 2026/27 academic year, the Free State of Bavaria will once again award one-year scholarships to students from Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, and Ukraine. The scholarship is intended to fund postgraduate studies (i.e. master’s programmes), doctoral studies, or one-year research stays at a state or state-funded higher education institution in Bavaria.

This one-year scholarship programme promotes academic exchange and scientific cooperation between Bavaria and Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe.

The application deadline has been extended to 28 February 2026. More information and the application form can be found on the official BAYHOST website.
