Dr. Tihana Bagić Participates in Staff Training Mobility in Malta

Dr. Tihana Bagić took part in a staff training mobility programme held from 16 to 20 June 2025 at the Executive Training Institute in St. Julian’s, Malta. The professional training course, titled “Diversity in Education: Developing Intercultural and Communication Skills”, provided participants with new skills and knowledge to enhance their understanding and application of diverse educational approaches in intercultural settings.

The training aimed to empower educators to work effectively within intercultural educational environments by developing their intercultural and communication competences. Emphasis was placed on the importance of cultural diversity in education and on developing strategies to include all students in the learning community—regardless of their cultural, linguistic, or socio-economic backgrounds.

Participants gained practical competences to foster inclusivity, understanding, and successful collaboration among students from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds. They also developed skills for designing educational plans that accommodate students with diverse profiles.

Through this programme, Dr. Bagić strengthened her teaching methods and approaches, which will positively contribute to the quality of education provided to students at our university. Furthermore, the exchange of experiences and ideas with colleagues from other countries enhanced international cooperation and understanding within educational practices. Such professional training is essential for delivering modern and inclusive education that responds to the challenges of a global society.

The Executive Training Institute, located in St. Julian’s, Malta, offers specialised professional development courses for educators worldwide. Its programmes are designed to enhance professional skills and support teachers in developing innovative teaching methods.
