The Catholic University in Ružomberok, founded by the Bishops’ Conference of Slovakia, solemnly celebrated its 25th anniversary on 25 September 2025. On this occasion, during the academic ceremony, Rector of the University in Ružomberok, Prof. Jaroslav Demko, Ph.D., awarded medals of gratitude to distinguished contributors to the life and work of the university, as well as to institutions associated with its development. Among the twenty-five recipients of the medal were three international partner universities, including the Catholic University of Croatia. The medal was accepted on behalf of Rector Prof. Željko Tanjić by his delegate, Assoc. Prof. Ante Crnčević, Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Quality, Identity, and Mission of the Catholic University of Croatia.

The Catholic University of Croatia gratefully accepts and highly values this recognition, awarded in acknowledgment of the fruitful cooperation between the two universities, especially in the organisation of joint summer schools and Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP), as well as in the field of international student mobility.

We regard this honour as a confirmation of the collaboration and friendship between our universities so far, and also as an encouragement for further joint efforts, particularly in student and staff exchange and scientific projects, for the benefit of both academic communities, the social environments in which we operate, and the Church whose mission we faithfully seek to fulfill.
