Assistant Professor Batinić Participates in the 31st International Congress of Applied Psychology in Florence

From July 21 to 25, 2026, the 31st International Congress of Applied Psychology (ICAP) took place in Florence, Italy. Assistant Professor Lana Batinić participated in the symposium titled Educating for Resilience: Strategies for Navigating Global Challenges, where she delivered a presentation titled "Learning About Resilience and Integrating it Into Everyday Life."
 


She presented the evaluation results of the program "Tutor of Resilience" – Growing and Thriving Along the University Journey, which involved undergraduate psychology students as part of the elective course Youth Mental Health.
 


This international project was organized by the symposium chair, Assistant Professor Francesca Giordano, PhD, from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. Alongside CUC students and psychology students from Milan, the program also featured participants from the United States (Oregon State University, Corvallis) and Chile (Universidad Bernardo O’Higgins, Santiago). The preliminary evaluation results of the program across all four participating countries were presented by Professor Shannon Lipscomb, PhD, from Oregon State University.
