Acting Dean Matić and President of the Nutrix Club Appeared on HRT
Acting Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Assistant Professor Ivica Matić, Ph.D., and the President of the Nursing Students’ Club Nutrix, Matko Matešić, appeared on the Croatian Radiotelevision program Riječ i život on Friday, October 3, 2025.

“The establishment of the Faculty of Health Sciences came in line with the developmental goals of the Catholic University of Croatia, where we now have four faculties and four university departments, and especially because we introduced a new study program in Midwifery. Given the significant differences compared to the previously offered courses, there was a clear and justified need to establish a new study program,” highlighted Matić.
“Furthermore, in the northwestern part of Croatia, all the way to Slavonia, a midwifery program had not been available until now. With our University raising it to the faculty level, this professionalization of the academically young disciplines of Midwifery and Nursing is very important, especially for those already working or planning to work in these fields. This is a university-level, not vocational, program offered at an integrated university—meaning that lecturers from all other study programs at the CUC also participate in teaching, thus providing students with authentic knowledge from various professions,” concluded Acting Dean Matić.
