Assistant Zujić and CUC Alumna Led a Workshop at Interliber
As part of the professional programme of Interliber, an interactive reading-promotion workshop for high school students was held on Thursday, 13 November 2025, based on the popular novel White as Milk, Red as Blood by Italian author Alessandro D’Avenia.
The workshop was led by Paula Zujić, Assistant at the University Department of Sociology of the Catholic University of Croatia, and Jelena Franić, Master of Communication Studies and alumna of our University. The workshop was organised by the publishing house Salesiana.
During the workshop, students read selected excerpts from the novel and discussed the themes D’Avenia places at the centre of the story: growing up, identity, friendship, love, and loss. The interactive approach of the workshop leaders encouraged dialogue, opening space for personal reflection and connection with the literary text. It demonstrated how contemporary literature can inspire a deeper understanding of one’s own experiences and emotions, while also offering an accessible entry into the world of literature and culture.
