Welcome Day Held for Erasmus+ Students

On Monday, 29 September 2025, the Catholic University of Croatia hosted Welcome Day – a reception for incoming Erasmus+ students who will be studying and living at our University over the coming months. In this 16th academic year, our community has welcomed students from France, Italy, Turkey, Germany, Slovakia, and Spain, who have chosen the Catholic University of Croatia as their international academic destination.

A warm welcome was extended to the students by Rector Prof. Željko Tanjić, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Prof. Jasna Ćurković-Nimac, University Erasmus+ Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Zoran Turza, and University Chaplain Branimir Jagodić. The students also had the opportunity to learn more about Croatian history, culture, and language through a presentation prepared by Prof. Kristina Puljizević from the Department of History. A special greeting was given by Anamarija Zokić, Vice-President of ESN Zagreb, who presented the association’s work in supporting international students in making friends, discovering Croatian culture, everyday life, and the beauty of Zagreb and Croatia.

To help students adapt more easily and quickly to the academic environment and life in Zagreb, they met their ECTS coordinators and student mentors, with whom they had the chance to talk and explore the university campus after the official program. In this way, they received valuable information about the facilities and resources available at the University.

The Catholic University of Croatia proudly emphasizes its membership in the Erasmus+ network and actively promotes international cooperation and knowledge exchange. We wish our new Erasmus+ students a successful academic semester and an unforgettable study experience in Croatia!
