Students from Bjelovar High School Visit the Catholic University of Croatia

On Wednesday, 3 December 2025, students from Bjelovar High School, accompanied by their teachers, visited the Catholic University of Croatia (CUC). The visit began in the Blessed Alojzije Stepinac Hall, where the students were warmly welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Ivana Brstilo Lovrić, PhD, Head of the University Department of Sociology, who expressed her pleasure at hosting the group and introducing them to university life at CUC.

Following the welcome address, Paula Zujić, Assistant at the Department of Sociology, presented the Catholic University of Croatia, introducing the students to the study programmes, opportunities offered by the University, and placing special emphasis on student life and the sense of community that characterizes everyday life at CUC.

The program continued with a lecture by Lovro Knežević, Assistant at the Department of Sociology, entitled “What Does Society Sound Like and What Does Music Reveal About Us?”. In an interactive and engaging presentation, students explored how music reflects social processes, identities, and changes, and how the sociology of music can deepen our understanding of culture and society.

After the lecture, the visitors took part in a guided tour of the university campus, during which they explored the facilities and gained insight into the everyday life of students and staff at the University.
