Nursing Faculty Participated in the 14th International Congress of the Croatian Nurses Association
The 14th International Congress of the Croatian Nurses Association titled “Nursing Without Borders” was held in Opatija from 5 to 8 June 2025. This year’s theme focused on “20 Years of Graduate Nursing Education – Challenges and Opportunities for Recognition.”

Faculty members from the Catholic University of Croatia actively participated in the congress. Assoc. Prof. Ivica Matić, Ph.D., Head of the Department of Nursing and a member of the Congress Organizing Committee, took part in three panel discussions and presented two scientific posters.

Teaching assistant Marin Čargo delivered a lecture during the plenary session. Their presentation was based on joint research titled "International Nursing Students’ Experiences: A Qualitative Analysis of Adaptation, Challenges, and Professional Development," conducted among international nursing students at the Catholic University of Croatia.

In addition to them, other faculty and collaborators from the University also participated in the congress: Tanja Lupieri, President of the Croatian Nurses Association and Clinical Practice Coordinator for our students at Sveti Duh University Hospital; Damjan Abou Aldan, Vice President of the Association and Adjunct Lecturer at the Department of Nursing; and Gordana Jurić, Lecturer at our Department. The congress brought together many current and former students of our University, further affirming its role as an important venue for professional networking and knowledge exchange.
