Assistant Professor Trbušić Delivered a Lecture on Crisis Communication for Presidents, Directors, and Employees of Caritas in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina

Asst. Prof. Davor Trbušić, Ph.D., from the Department of Communication Studies, held a lecture and media training session on crisis communication for directors, presidents, and employees of diocesan Caritas organizations from Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina on Wednesday, 15 October, in Bjelovar.

In the theoretical part of the lecture, participants were introduced to the basic concepts and the four key phases of crisis communication – prevention, preparation, communication at the strategic and tactical levels, and post-crisis evaluation.

The second part of the lecture was dedicated to media training, specifically adapted to the context of Caritas’s activities. Participants were tasked with preparing media statements based on real Caritas scenarios, including situations such as reputational risks related to donors, internal oversights, or communication errors in public appearances. After preparation, participants performed in front of the camera, practiced delivering key messages, and analyzed the effectiveness of their public performance in crisis situations.
