POSTGRADUATE UNIVERSITY STUDIES IN SOCIOLOGY, Values, Identity and Social Changes in Croatian Society

Postgraduate university studies in Sociology: Values, Identity and Social Changes in Croatian Society were launched in the academic year 2018-2019. Twenty-two students are enrolled.

It is a three-year course of study. Upon completion, students earn 180 ECTS credits and the academic title of Doctor of Science (dr. sc.), PhD. Classes take place at the Catholic University of Croatia, Ilica 242 in Zagreb. The optimal number of students is 20, as identified in the study on the implementation of this study programme.

With these postgraduate studies, the Catholic University of Croatia enables its students to acquire degrees at all levels of university studies ranging from undergraduate, graduate to postgraduate. On the occasion of the launch of these doctoral studies, Prof Željko Tanjić, PhD, Rector of the CUC, said: “It fills us with joy that we have obtained a licence for doctoral studies in History and Sociology. Herewith, our University rounds up all three cycles of studies and after eight years of teaching is able to award doctorates. This is a major breakthrough in the development of our University, which demonstrates our ability to shape new generations of scientists and researchers who are important for the Croatian society. My sincere thanks go to all who have worked on this project and I hope for the successful kick-off of our doctoral studies. “
