Vjekoslav Peitl

Associate Professor at the School of Medicine of the Catholic University of Croatia in Zagreb. He graduated and received his PhD from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Rijeka, where he defended his dissertation Depressive symptoms in schizophrenia and dopamine and serotonin gene polymorphisms in 2017.

At the School of Medicine of the Catholic University of Croatia, he has been the Vice dean for postgraduate studies and teaching base relations since 2021, and also works at the Department of Psychiatry of UHC Sestre milosrdnice, as a psychiatrist with a subspecialization in biological psychiatry.

SCIENTIFIC-RESEARCH INTERESTS:

Research into potential genetic and neuroimaging markers of schizophrenia, with an emphasis on cognitive functions; Neuropsychiatry; Therapy-resistant mental disorders; Psychopharmacology
