Veronika Novoselac
Teaching Assistant at the Department of History of the Catholic University of Croatia in Zagreb. She graduated in History at the Catholic University of Croatia in 2017, and in Communication Studies in 2020, where she is currently enrolled in the postgraduate (doctoral) program in History. Her research focuses on 19th-century history, women’s history, the history of journalism, and the role of media in shaping social memories.
Before joining the Department of History, she worked at the Press Office of the Archdiocese of Zagreb and as a journalist on the Nautical Patrol project of Jutarnji list. During her studies, she gained experience in communication agencies, on radio, and in event organization, actively participating in numerous student and volunteer projects.
She is a recipient of the Rector’s Award and the Ferdo Šišić Award for the best master’s thesis, titled The Significance of the Humoristic-Satirical Newspaper Bič in the Party of Rights Journalism in the Second Half of the 19th Century.
