Stipe Ledić
He graduated in History and Latin from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Zagreb in 1997. He taught Latin in secondary schools. From 2000 until October 2012, he worked as a history teacher at the Archdiocesan Classical Gymnasium in Zagreb. Since 2012, he has been employed at the Department of History of the Catholic University of Croatia.
He earned his doctorate with a dissertation titled “Josip Keresturi – Public Activity and Political Thought.” The dissertation, among other topics, explores social, political, and administrative history, focusing on the relationship between the political elites of the Lands of the Crown of Saint Stephen and the reform policies of the Viennese Court in the second half of the 18th century.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Administrative, ecclesiastical, social, economic, and educational aspects of Josephinism in Croatia; early modern Latin historiography; history didactics.
