Marta Čivljak
Full Professor at the Faculty of Health Studies, Catholic University of Croatia. She earned her MD and PhD at the University of Zagreb School of Medicine, where she defended her dissertation in 2010 on “Effectiveness of Public Health Interventions for Reducing Smoking Among Youth.” Since 2008, she has been a board-certified psychiatrist. She began her career at the School of Public Health, University of Zagreb School of Medicine. Since 2015, she has been employed at the Catholic University of Croatia, where she served as Head of the Department of Nursing until 2024. She has actively contributed to the development of new degree programs and lifelong learning curricula. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the scientific journal Unicath Journal of Biomedicine and Bioethics.
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Her interdisciplinary interests include public health, mental health, psychiatry, and nursing. She conducts research on the effectiveness of public health and educational interventions and is involved in the development and evaluation of curricula in nursing and medicine. She also investigates research methodology in specific study designs and thematic areas through systematic literature reviews and methodological evaluations. Her work integrates clinical practice, education, and research to advance evidence-based medicine and health care.
