Lucija Lasić

Lucija Lasić is an expert associate at the Faculty of Engineering on the project lead by prof. Tamara Holjevac Grgurić, PhD titled AntibacHip – The Development of an Innovative Antibacterial Material for Hip Prosthesis. She graduated in 2024 from the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb after successfully defending her thesis titled Development and validation of ultra-performance liquid chromatography method for the analysis of cinnarizine degradation products made under the mentorship of prof. Nives Galić and co-mentorship of David Klarić, PhD at the Division of Analytical Chemistry In 2024, she enrolled in the Doctoral study of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology, University of Zagreb.

In 2023, she was awarded the Department of Chemistry Medal for excellent success during studies. She earned the title of Master of Science in Chemistry in the category of top 10 % most successful of students in her studies.
 

RESEARCH INTERESTS:

Metallic biomaterials based on titanium alloys, casting technologies of metals and methods of material characterization (DSC, XRD, DMA, SEM), research of antibacterial properties of metal materials for biomedical applications, development and validation of chromatography methods (HPLC, UPLC), mass spectrometry (MS, MS/MS)
