Lea Skokandić

Assistant Professor at the University Department of Psychology of the Catholic University of Croatia. She graduated in psychology from the Faculty of Croatian Studies and received her PhD from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. She is currently attending the University specialist study in Supervision of Psychosocial Work, at the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb.

From 2009 to 2025, she worked at the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb, at the Department of Research Methodology in Social Work and Social Policy.

She collaborated as a member of the research team in the implementation of international and domestic projects (e.g. "FP7 BECAN"). She has participated in numerous conferences and published a dozen scientific papers.

She is a member of the Croatian Psychological Chamber, which recognized her specialty for work in palliative care in 2021. She volunteers at the NGO, Volunteers in Palliative Care La Verna.
 

SCIENTIFIC-RESEARCH INTEREST:

It is aimed at developing and strengthening the psychological contribution to an interdisciplinary approach to research and provision of palliative care, with an emphasis on research into the field of aging, the needs of older persons, and the possibilities of improving psychosocial support for professionals involved in the provision of palliative healthcare.
