Jasna Ćurković Nimac

Full professor at the Department of Communication Studies at the Catholic University of Croatia. She earned her PhD in Moral Theology in 2008 from the Pontificio Istituto Superiore di Teologia Morale – Accademia Alfonsiana in Rome.

From 2009 to 2011, she worked as a research associate at the Ivo Pilar Institute of Social Sciences in Pula, and from 2011 as a senior research associate in Zagreb. Since 2016, she has been employed as a professor at the Department of Communication Studies at the Catholic University of Croatia. In 2024, she was appointed Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at the same university.

In 2023, she spent a semester as a visiting professor at the Nanovic Institute for European Studies, University of Notre Dame, Indiana, USA. She is a member of the European Society for Research in Ethics (Societas Ethica), the Memory Studies Association, and the Global Ethics Network (Catholic Theological Ethics in the World Church).
 

SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH INTEREST:

Ethics and the neuroethics of memory; the impact of new technologies and artificial intelligence on individual and collective memory; Christian ethics; moral philosophy; and the ethics of intercultural communication.
