Ivica Matić

Assoc. Prof. Ivica Matić, PhD, is the Acting Dan of the Faculty of Health Studies at the Catholic University of Croatia. He earned his doctoral degree at the University of Zagreb School of Medicine, where he also completed a graduate program in nursing and a postgraduate specialist program in public health. With over twenty years of professional experience, he has gained extensive clinical, teaching, and research expertise, including work in anesthesiology, transfusion medicine, and radiological diagnostics. He is the author of numerous publications, textbooks, and manuals, and is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences. He holds various expert and advisory roles in the Ministry of Health, the Croatian Nursing Council, the Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes, the National Centre for External Evaluation of Education (NCVVO), and European professional associations. He has received multiple awards, including four from the Ministry of Science and Education for outstanding achievements in teaching and education.

 

RESEARCH INTERESTS:

Public health, health promotion, health policy, teaching methodology, quality of life, sense of coherence, and professional development of students.
