Ivana Brstilo Lovrić
Head of the University Department of Sociology at the Catholic University of Croatia. She completed her undergraduate studies in Sociology at the University of Split and obtained her graduate degree in Sociology at the University of Zagreb. She earned her PhD from the international joint doctoral program Sociology of Regional and Local Development at the University of Zadar, with a dissertation titled Consumption and New Technologies Among Youth in Croatia: An Analysis of Consumer Styles and Practices of Students at the Universities of Zadar and Zagreb.
She lectures at the (under)graduate studies in Sociology and Nursing, as well as in the Doctoral study Sociology: Values, Identity, and Social Change in Croatian Society at the Catholic University of Croatia. She is the recipient of the "Fra Špiro Marasović" Award for the Promotion of the Social Teaching of the Church, presented by scientific, ecclesiastical, and social institutions.
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Youth sociology, sociology of consumption, sociology of the body, culture of fashion sustainability, postmodern social trends, transhumanism.
