Ivan Reiner

Fr. Ivan Reiner PhD, deacon and priesthood candidate of the Greek Catholic Eparchy of Križevci, serves as a Senior Lecturer at the Catholic University of Croatia, Faculty of Health Studies. He obtained both his undergraduate and doctoral degrees from the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb, completing his PhD in 2022 with the dissertation entitled "Environmental Taxes in the Service of Sustainable Development."

He received his theological and philosophical education by successfully completing the Correspondence Theology Program (a seven-year academic course) and graduating in 2025 from the Philosophical-Theological Institute of the Society of Jesus, affiliated with the Pontifical Gregorian University.

He is actively involved in the work of the Correspondence Theology Program and the Eastern Christian Spirituality Studies at the St. John Chrysostom Institute and is also an external associate of University of Applied Sciences with public rights Baltazar. Previously, he worked as a teaching and research assistant at the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb, holding the rights of venia docendi and venia examinandi.

Dr. Reiner has published numerous scientific and professional papers, participated for many years in research projects at the Faculty of Law (University of Zagreb) and the Croatian Science Foundation, and has presented at various international conferences.

He is a professed member under perpetual vows of the Secular Franciscan Order (OFS), under the name br. Alojzije. He is married and has one daughter.
